At the end of the first term, pupils should be able to identify and match objects with the same colors, shapes, and sizes as well as identify and describe the sound of an object, animal, and person.
At the end of the second term, pupils should be able to make objects float or sink in water and use colour to identify and beautify objects.
Finally, at the end of the third term, pupils should be able to group plants and animals according to their characteristics of the plants, state the uses of plants, and describe the behaviours of animals.
The following teachers’ and pupil’s activities will facilitate the program’s effective implementation.
The teachers will issue out coloured pencils and crayons to their pupils in the first term to identify and match colours, while the pupils collect and identify objects of varying shapes and sizes.
During the second term, the teacher shall demonstrate how to identify things that float or sink when put in water, while the pupils conduct activities that will make some things float in water, while others sink.
Teachers will start class discussions to have pupils identify features of plants and group them based on their features in the third term.
