Verbal reasoning is vital, and it applies in helping the students build their vocabulary, comprehension, and critical thinking. During their eighth and ninth years of age, the pupils with the learning capability are taken through the Primary 4 scheme of work.
The first term of the verbal reasoning scheme of work for Primary 4 is meant to introduce pupils to the basic aspects of verbal reasoning. In the first week, pupils are supposed to revise so that they can remember what they learned in the previous classes. Second term verbal reasoning scheme of work for Primary 4 is based on what was learned in the first term and was reviewed in the first week to help the pupils capture the lesson. For the Third term, the second week will be discussing a reverse alphabetical code with the students, and in the third week, the students will be learning compound words. For the fourth week, pupils will learn sentence formation which will Enhance them on how they should write sentences. Word pairs and homophones will be discussed in the fifth and sixth weeks. The seventh week will be a mid-term and the last weeks will be on prefixes and suffixes and nouns.
The third term of the verbal reasoning scheme of work for Primary 4 aims to help pupils master their understanding of the knowledge given in the two previous terms. The first three weeks have two weeks of revision and another two on antonyms. The rest of the fifth and sixth weeks are based on association and anagrams. The pupils learn how words relate and how to add letters to achieve new words.
