History Scheme of Work for Primary 2

The history scheme of work for primary 2 is a comprehensive guide for pupils who are in the age bracket of 5 – 6 years.

The scheme of work was set to ensure that the pupils meet some specific goals that concern the subject of history and culture. Concerning the subject, the objectives of the scheme of work were divided into three terms.

The first term pupils should; Identify two indigenous people of the state State 3 peoples of Nigeria Name 3 major towns in the state State the meaning of heroes and heroines Mention the name of the state where the school is located Mention 2 titles of major traditional rulers in the state

In the second term, pupils should be able to mention two major locations of the indigenous people of the state and mention the location of the three peoples on the map. Identify the location of two major towns in the state, list the names of three heroes and heroin in the state, mention the year of the creation of the state, and mention two duties of the traditional rulers in the state the school was located

During the third term, the pupils should state two major locations of the indigenous peoples of the state, identify the location of two major towns in the state on the map, state two achievements of heroes and heroines in the state, state the name of the immediate past and present governor of the state, and state two duties of traditional rulers in the state.

First Term Objectives

Week 1-2: Name 2 indigenous people of the state

Week 3-5: Mention 3 peoples of Nigeria

Week 6: Name 3 major towns in the state

Week 8-9: State the meaning of heroes and heroines

Week 10: Mention the name of the state where the school is located and Mention 2 titles of major traditional rulers in the state.
