The first Pan African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU) aimed at addressing the gaps in research and development and enhancing manpower shortages in Africa’s Aviation industry. Founded in 2023 in Abuja, Nigeria.
The university was established to offer the best and most specialized quality education to fit the needs and challenges of the aviation and aerospace sector in Africa and beyond. The university offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes which cover a variety of fields in the university’s area of specialization.
The courses include B.Sc. in Meteorology, B.Sc. in Aviation Business, B.Sc. in Aviation, B.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering, M.Sc. Meteorology and Atmospheric Science, M.Sc. Aviation safety Security, M.Sc. Satellite Communication Engineering, M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering, PhD Meteorology and Atmospheric Science, PhD Aviation security, and PhD, Aerospace engineering.
Furthermore, the university has also continued to work with other institutions such as Nile University and the National Space Research and Development Agency to improve its curricular development and research output.
The AAAU has a fully furnished modern campus with all the learning facilities. The university has a library, a computer centre, a laboratory, a workshop, a flight simulator, a wind tunnel, a satellite ground station, and a meteorological station.
Moreover, the university has a couple of aircraft for practicals and general research. We have a competent and dedicated faculty and support staff. The AAAU was licensed lately by the National Universities Commission in the country to operate as a university effective July 2021.
The university has since been recognized and evaluated by the International Civil Aviation Organization and the African Civil Aviation Commission. Additionally, the university is a recognized member of the Association of African Universities and is affiliated with the International Association of Universities.
