Federal University of Health Sciences Ila Orangun, Osun State (FUHSI) is one of the nine new universities established in 2021 by the Federal Government of Nigeria, to expand the quality health sector.
FUHSI is the first and only university in Nigeria that exclusively focuses on health, nutrition and medical sciences The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes relevant to health, nutrition and the medical science sector.
This newly approved university is located in Ila Orangun, one of the historic towns in Osun State, southwest Nigeria.
The university was established in a serene and conducive environment for learning, research and innovation with equipped laboratories, libraries, ICT centres, auditoriums, hostels and clinics.
The university has a team of highly qualified and experienced academic and non-academic staff, committed to providing quality education and mentorship to the students.

Apart from the accreditation by NUC, FUHSI has also obtained approval from various professional bodies and associations, such as the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), the Institute of Medical Laboratory Science of Nigeria (IMLSN), and the Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN).
