The Federal University, Birnin Kebbi was established under the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2013, the institution is located in Birnin Kebbi, the capital of Kebbi State. The University was established with the aim of providing quality education.
FUBK has grown to become one of the leading institution in Nigeria. Like other universities, the institution also runs undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the following Faculties; the Faculty of Agriculture, the Faculty of Computer science, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Law, and the Faculty of Engineering.
Apart from the academic activities the university also engaged in research activities with the aim contributing to the development of knowledge and innovation in various courses.
