It is a common fact that education is an integral part of a child’s growth. The basis for a child’s tomorrow is established on the foundation of today. Christian Religious Studies is considered to be a core subject in primary school. The Christian Religious Studies Scheme of Work for Primary 3 pupils is a vital instrument for both teachers and pupils. It is intended to assist pupils who are either 7-8 years old in broadening their understanding of Christian tradition and how it relates to their lives.
Scheme of Work is intended to be an introduction to pupils on what the Christian faith contains. As such, it is clear from this design that the main concepts are easy to follow and express in a manner that can be easily understood by pupils. The Scheme of Work is divided into three terms, and each term is designed to cover different topics that pupils must learn and reflect on.
In the first term, pupils will learn about how the Israelites became slaves in Egypt, how God delivered them from their bondage, and how the Egyptians perished in the Red Sea. Additionally, they will learn about the Passover, which is relatable to the Christian faith. The pupils will learn the following about the Passover. What Passover is, the story of Passover, and God’s precepts for Passover.
The second term of the Scheme of Learning incorporates what a child will learn about Jesus Christ who is the way to the Father and the Good Shepherd. It explains the features of light and salt, which means the Christian people are the light of the world” and “the salt of the world. The pupil is also taught about “the passion of Jesus Christ,” His crucifixion, and His resurrection the promise of the comforter.
The third term of the Scheme of Work focuses on the second coming of Jesus Christ and the need for pupils to live a good life for the return of Christ. They will be taught about Christ’s ascension, the promise of His second coming, and the need to prepare for His second coming will be covered. The third gift of the Holy Spirit and why He is coming again

The Christian Religious Studies Scheme of Work for Primary Three is focused on enlightening pupils on the Christian faith and the teachings of the Christian faith. This scheme of work encompasses the deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt, the Passover, Moses and the Bronze Serpent in the Wilderness, Jesus is the way to my Father, Christians are the salt of the heart, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the promise of the Comforter, and the coming of Jesus Christ.
