In the First Term, students will engage in activities such as revision, word formation, word patterns, coding, alphabetical arrangement, homophones, association, and analogy. The idea is to develop verbal reasoning skills, which activities are designed to lay the groundwork, but in further terms, we will be introducing higher-level concepts. This culminates in examinations to evaluate how much each student has developed and taken in.

Moving on to the Second Term, the students will be stretching their limits on verbal reasoning through prefix and suffix, spelling bee, antonyms, synonyms, sentence arrangement, inference, odd one out and revision. These activities are designed to build on students’ appreciation of the structure and use of language, and develop their skills in analysing and interpreting written material. Just like in the First Term, the Second Term ends with assessments to gauge the progress of students.

For the Third Term, greater emphasis is placed on getting the pupils well prepared for the National Common Entrance examination, which is a major examination leading to secondary education. This includes revision, sentence and meaning, preparation for exams like National Common Entrance examination etc. It is a very important word as it naturally solidifies the ability of a student of verbal reasoning enabling him/her to face the entrance exam headlong.
