Week 1: Recitation of Suratul Fil
1. Content: Introduction to the text, basic recitation, and tajwid rules like idgham and ikhfa.
2. Performance Objectives: Pupils should be able to recite Suratul Fil with basic tajwid and understand its historical context.
3. Learning Activities:
i. Teacher Activities: The teacher recites the surah slowly, The teacher explains tajwid rules, The teacher demonstrates proper pronunciation, The teacher provides historical context about the surah.
ii. Learning Activities: The learners listen and repeat in chorus, The learners practice individually, The learners identify tajwid rules in verses, The learners ask questions about pronunciation.
4. Teaching and Learning Resources: Holy Qur’an for reference and recitation practice, Chart with Arabic text of Suratul Fil for visual learning, Audio recorder to play correct recitation examples, Tajwid rule posters to guide proper pronunciation.
Week 2: Recitation of Suratul Fil
1. Content: Meaning of verses, application to daily life, memorization practice.
2. Performance Objectives: Pupils should be able to explain the meaning of Suratul Fil and apply its lesson on divine protection.

Week 3: Recitation of Suratul Humazah

Week 4: Recitation of Suratul Humazah

Week 6: Recitation of Suratu al-Asr
1. Content: Meaning on time, faith, and good deeds.
2. Performance Objectives: Pupils should be able to explain the surah’s emphasis on productive living.

i. Teacher Activities: The teacher explains meanings, The teacher assigns role plays, The teacher discusses time management, The teacher connects lessons to students’ daily routines.

Week 7: Mid-Term Break
Students go on mid-term break. Teachers should conduct mid-term tests covering topics from Week 1 to Week 6 before the break. This assessment helps identify areas where students need additional support when they return.
Week 8: Hadith Nos. 2 and 3 of An-Nawawi’s Collection
1. Content: Knowledge of Hadith No. 2 (on Islam, Iman, Ihsan).
2. Performance Objectives: Pupils should be able to narrate Hadith No. 2 and describe its pillars.
3. Learning Activities:
i. Teacher Activities: The teacher narrates hadith, The teacher explains terms like Islam, Iman, and Ihsan, The teacher discusses the pillars mentioned, The teacher uses stories to illustrate concepts.
ii. Learning Activities: The learners repeat narration, The learners discuss pillars in groups, The learners memorize key phrases, The learners give examples of how to practice each pillar.
4. Teaching and Learning Resources: Hadith books containing An-Nawawi’s collection, Charts with text of Hadith No. 2, Posters explaining Islam, Iman, and Ihsan, Group discussion materials.
Week 9: Hadith Nos. 2 and 3 of An-Nawawi’s Collection
1. Content: Hadith No. 3 (on pillars of Islam), application to life.
2. Performance Objectives: Pupils should be able to apply lessons from Hadith No. 3 in daily practices.
3. Learning Activities:
i. Teacher Activities: The teacher discusses applications, The teacher guides debates on the pillars, The teacher shows how pillars connect to daily life, The teacher facilitates demonstrations of practices.
ii. Learning Activities: The learners debate on pillars, The learners practice demonstrations, The learners share personal experiences with Islamic practices, The learners create visual presentations of the pillars.

Week 10: Purposes of man’s creation (Surah Zariyat 51:51-56)
1. Content: Knowledge of verses on creation for worship.
2. Performance Objectives: Pupils should be able to recite and explain the purpose of creation as worship.
3. Learning Activities:
i. Teacher Activities: The teacher recites verses, The teacher explains context, The teacher discusses what worship means in daily life, The teacher connects creation purpose to student responsibilities.
ii. Learning Activities: The learners recite verses, The learners discuss personal applications, The learners share thoughts on worship, The learners reflect on how they fulfill their purpose.
4. Teaching and Learning Resources: Qur’an for verse recitation, Explanatory videos about creation and worship, Discussion guides for personal reflection, Writing materials for reflection journals.
Week 11: Revision
Teachers should revise all lessons from Week 1 to Week 10. This includes reviewing recitation of the three surahs with tajwid rules, revisiting Hadith lessons, and reinforcing understanding of creation purpose. Use group activities, recitation practice, and question-and-answer sessions to prepare students for the examination.
Week 12: Examination
The first term examination begins. Teachers should administer tests that assess students’ ability to recite surahs with tajwid, explain meanings, narrate Hadith, and apply Islamic teachings. Examinations should measure both knowledge and practical skills as outlined in the performance objectives.
Week 13: Examination, Marking & Vacation
Teachers conclude the examination, mark scripts, and record results. Provide feedback to students on their performance and areas for improvement. After completing all academic activities, students proceed on vacation until the second term begins.
