Week 1: Meaning of Arts, Origin of Arts, Uses of Arts

2. Performance Objectives: Explain the meaning of art with examples, trace the origin of arts, outline and explain the uses of arts.

3. Learning Activities:

i. Teacher Activities: The teacher explains the meaning of arts, mentions origin, lists uses with examples.

ii. Learning Activities: The learners listen to explanations, copy notes, discuss examples from daily life.

4. Teaching and Learning Resources: Illustration of art works (paintings, sculptures, drawings), printed materials (books, magazines with art images), photographs showing different art forms, notebooks for note-taking, biros for writing, chalkboard for demonstrations.

Week 2: Definition of Music, Sound, Noise

1. Content: Meaning of music as organized sound, sources of music (voice, instruments), difference between music and noise.
