Week 1: Qur’an and Tajwid: Quranic Recitation (Suratul Tariq)

1. Content: Knowledge: Reading, memorization, and translation of Suratul Tariq; teachings on rules of recitation (Tajwid). Skill: Reciting and memorizing with proper pronunciation.

2. Performance Objectives: Pupils should be able to: 1. Read Suratul Tariq fluently. 2. Memorize the surah. 3. Translate it into simple English. 4. State key teachings.

3. Learning Activities:

i. Teacher Activities: The teacher guides pupils in group recitation using charts, The teacher explains Tajwid rules.

ii. Learning Activities: The learners recite in groups, The learners memorize verses individually, The learners discuss translations in pairs.

4. Teaching and Learning Resources: Charts with Arabic text of Suratul Tariq – these help in visual recitation practice; Audio recordings of recitation – for correct pronunciation guidance; Qur’an copies – essential for individual reading and reference.

The exam for the term should start.

Week 13: Examination, Marking & Vacation

Examination should be concluded together with marking and recording then vacation follows once all have been achieved.
