Week 1: Qur’an and Tajwid: Quranic Recitation (Suratul Tariq)
1. Content: Knowledge: Reading, memorization, and translation of Suratul Tariq; teachings on rules of recitation (Tajwid). Skill: Reciting and memorizing with proper pronunciation.
2. Performance Objectives: Pupils should be able to: 1. Read Suratul Tariq fluently. 2. Memorize the surah. 3. Translate it into simple English. 4. State key teachings.
3. Learning Activities:
i. Teacher Activities: The teacher guides pupils in group recitation using charts, The teacher explains Tajwid rules.
ii. Learning Activities: The learners recite in groups, The learners memorize verses individually, The learners discuss translations in pairs.
4. Teaching and Learning Resources: Charts with Arabic text of Suratul Tariq – these help in visual recitation practice; Audio recordings of recitation – for correct pronunciation guidance; Qur’an copies – essential for individual reading and reference.
Week 2: Qur’an and Tajwid: Quranic Recitation (Suratul Tariq – Continued)
1. Content: Knowledge: Deep analysis of meanings and Tajwid application in Suratul Tariq. Skill: Applying Tajwid rules during recitation; reflecting on teachings.
2. Performance Objectives: Pupils should be able to: 1. Apply Tajwid rules to recite Suratul Tariq. 2. Explain its core lessons (e.g., Allah’s creation). 3. Relate teachings to daily life.

2. Performance Objectives: Pupils should be able to: 1. Read Suratul Buruj correctly. 2. Memorize the surah. 3. Provide basic translation. 4. Identify main teachings (e.g., faith under persecution).

i. Teacher Activities: The teacher leads choral reading, The teacher corrects pronunciation.
ii. Learning Activities: The learners recite individually, The learners memorize in small groups, The learners translate key verses.

2. Performance Objectives: Pupils should be able to: 1. Read Suratul Inshiqaq properly. 2. Memorize it. 3. Translate selected verses. 4. State teachings on Judgment Day.

ii. Learning Activities: The learners practice recitation in pairs, The learners memorize and quiz each other.

Week 6: Qur’an and Tajwid: Quranic Recitation (Suratul Inshiqaq – Continued)

Week 7: Mid-Term Break
Mid term test should be conducted the test should be from week 1 to 6.
Week 8: Hadith Studies: Hadith Nos. 11 and 12 of Annawawi’s collection
1. Content: Knowledge: Reading, memorization, translation, and teachings of Hadith 11 and 12. Skill: Reciting and analyzing hadiths.
2. Performance Objectives: Pupils should be able to: 1. Read and memorize Hadith 11 and 12. 2. Translate them. 3. State teachings (e.g., intention in actions).
3. Learning Activities:
i. Teacher Activities: The teacher displays charts and explains contexts.
ii. Learning Activities: The learners read in groups, The learners memorize and discuss teachings.
4. Teaching and Learning Resources: Charts with Arabic texts of Hadith 11 and 12 – for visual aid; Translation handouts – to support understanding.
Week 9: Hadith Studies: Hadith Nos. 13 and 14 of Annawawi’s collection

Week 11: Revision
Revised all the lessons and prepare your pupils for the exam.
Week 12: Examination
The exam for the term should start.
Week 13: Examination, Marking & Vacation
Examination should be concluded together with marking and recording then vacation follows once all have been achieved.
