Week 1-2: Relationship in School
1. Content: Knowledge: 1. Members of school community (e.g. school principals, teachers, prefects, students, friends, etc.). 2. Factors to consider when choosing friends at school (common interests, age, etc.). 3. Example of good friendship (David and Jonathan), 1 Sam. 18: 1-5.
4. Consequences of bad friendship (it leads to cultism, stealing, drug addictions, examination malpractice, prostitution, lesbianism, homosexuality, smoking, drinking, laziness, truancy, etc.) , Prov. 1:10; 2 Thes. 3: 6 -13.
2. Performance Objectives: 1. Identify members of school; 2. List common factors to consider in choosing friends; 3. Explain example of good friends; 4. Identify the consequences of bad friendship.
3. Learning Activities:
i. Teacher Activities: Leads discussion on school community members, guides group use of infographics for factors in choosing friends, facilitates reading and group discussion on David and Jonathan, instructs internet search and group discussion on consequences of bad friendship.
ii. Student Activities: Participate in class discussion on members of the school community, use infographics in groups to identify and discuss factors to consider when choosing friends,
Read the Bible passage on David and Jonathan and discuss their friendship as an example of good friendship in groups, search the internet for the consequences of bad friendship and discuss the passages on it in groups.
4. Teaching and Learning Resources: Holy Bible for examples, Charts for visuals, Internet access for info, Infographics to highlight points.
Week 3: Relationship in Community and Church
1. Content: Knowledge: 1. Meaning of Community and types of community leaders. 2. Ways of sustaining relationships in the community: Respect for elders and leaders, Obeying the laws of the land, Participating in community development programmes, Caring for the needy and religious tolerance, Gal.6:2. 3.
Relationship in the church: Love your Christian brothers and sisters etc. Rom. 12:9-21, Maintaining relationships in church. Heb.10:25, 1 Pt.3: 8-13; Rom. 13:1-7.
2. Performance Objectives: 1. Identify leaders of their communities; 2. State ways we maintain relationships in the community; 3. Mention ways to maintain relationships in the church.
3. Learning Activities:
i. Teacher Activities: Leads discussion on meaning of community and leaders, guides group use of infographics for sustaining relationships in community, pairs students to use charts for discussing church relationships.
ii. Student Activities: Participate in class discussion on the meaning of community and identification of the various community leaders, use infographics in groups to identify and discuss ways of sustaining relationships in the community, use charts in pairs to discuss relationships in church.
4. Teaching and Learning Resources: Holy Bible for verses, Internet access for examples, Charts to list ideas, infographics for quick views.
Week 4-5: Relationship with God
1. Content: Knowledge: 1. Relating with God through praying, reading the Bible, worshipping, praising God, etc. Acts 16:25. 2. Ways God talks to us: Our parents, The Bible, Our teachers, Priests/preachers. 3. Ways of maintaining a good relationship with God.
2. Performance Objectives: 1. Discuss the ways to relate with God; 2. Identify ways God talks to us; 3. State ways we maintain relationship with God; 4. Pray, worship and praise God.
3. Learning Activities:
i. Teacher Activities: Guides reading and group discussion on relating with God through prayer, Bible, worship, praise, pairs students for chart-based discussion on how God talks to us, leads class discussion on maintaining relationship with God, oversees individual prayer, reading, worship, praise.
ii. Student Activities: Read the Bible passage and discuss in groups ways of relating with God through prayer, reading the Bible, worshipping and praising
Use charts to discuss in pairs on ways God talks to us, participate in class discussion on ways of maintaining a good relationship with God, individually pray, read the Bible, worship, and praise God.
4. Teaching and Learning Resources: Holy Bible for practice, Charts to outline ways.
Week 6: Call to Obedience
1. Content: Knowledge: 1. Meaning and types of obedience, Jonah 1:1-3; 2:1-9; 3:1-3; 3:10. 2. Blessing from obeying God’s call, Gen. 12:1-9. 3. Abraham demonstrates obedience to God: The birth of Isaac, Gen. 21:1-8; The sacrifice of Isaac, Gen. 22:1 -19.
2. Performance Objectives: 1. Explain the meaning of obedience; 2. Narrate the story of the call of Abraham; 3. State the blessings that followed Abraham’s obedience to God’s call.
3. Learning Activities:
i. Teacher Activities: Guides reading and chart use for discussion on meaning and types of obedience, leads group discussion on blessings of obeying God’s call, shows video clips on birth and sacrifice of Isaac, facilitates group discussion on Abraham’s obedience.
ii. Student Activities: Read the Bible passages and use charts to participate in class discussion on the meaning and types of obedience, read the Bible passages and, in groups, discuss the blessing of obeying God’s call, watch video clips on the birth and sacrifice of Isaac and discuss in groups Abraham’s demonstration of obedience to God.

Week 7: Mid-Term Break
Mid term test should be conducted the test should be from week 1 to 6.
Week 8-9: Call to Freedom
1. Content: Knowledge: 1. The meaning and types of freedom. 2. Moses leads his people to freedom: The birth and call of Moses, Ex. 3: 1-15; Confrontation with Pharaoh, Exodus 5:1-23; 7:8-12:30; 12:31-33; The crossing of the Red Sea, Exodus 14, 15:1-19. 3. Deborah and Barak lead their people to freedom, Judges 4. 4. Benefits of freedom.
2. Performance Objectives: 1. Explain the meaning of freedom; 2. Narrate the story of how Moses freed his people; 3. Explain the story of how Deborah and Barak led their people to freedom.
3. Learning Activities:
i. Teacher Activities: Leads discussion on meaning and types of freedom, shows video clips on Moses’ birth and call, guides group use of infographics for Moses’ confrontation and Red Sea crossing, facilitates reading and group discussion on Deborah and Barak.
ii. Student Activities: Participate in class discussion on the meaning and types of freedom, watch video clips on the birth and call of Moses, and in groups, use infographics to discuss Moses’s confrontation with Pharaoh and the crossing of the Red Sea, read the Bible passages and discuss how Deborah and Barak led their people to freedom in groups.

Week 10: Call to Service
1. Content: Knowledge: 1. Meaning and types of service. 2. Example of persons who served in the Bible: Joseph serves in Egypt, Gen. 37:12-36; 41:37-57; Ruth serves her mother-in-law, Ruth 1:7-18. 3. Lessons from the service of Joseph and Ruth.
4. Challenges associated with service: Seduction, Gen. 39:7; Bribery and corruption, etc. 5. Rewards for service, Gen 41:37-43. 6. Living a life of service, 1 Pet. 2: 18-25.
2. Performance Objectives: 1. Explain the meaning and types of service; 2. Discuss examples of persons who served in the Bible; 3. Enumerate the challenges associated with service; 4. Discuss the challenges associated with service; 5. Explain ways people are rewarded for their service; 6. Discuss how to live a life of service to God and humanity.
3. Learning Activities:
i. Teacher Activities: Leads discussion on meaning and types of service, guides group internet searches and Bible reading on Joseph and Ruth, with class presentations, uses infographics for group identification of lessons from Joseph and Ruth’s service,
Uses infographics for group discussion on challenges with service, facilitates reading and chart use for rewards of service, leads discussion on living a life of service.
ii. Student Activities: Participate in class discussion on the meaning and types of service, search the internet in groups and read the Bible passages on Joseph serving in Egypt and Ruth serving her mother-in-law and make a presentation to the class, use infographics in groups to identify the lessons from the service of Joseph and Ruth,
Use infographics in groups to identify and discuss the challenges associated with service, read the Bible passages and use charts to discuss the rewards for service, read the Bible passages and participate in class discussion on living a life of service to God and humanity.

Week 11: Revision
Revised all the lessons and prepare your pupils for the exam.
Week 12: Examination
The exam for the term should start.
Week 13: Examination, Marking & Vacation
Examination should be concluded together with marking and recording then vacation follows once all have been achieved.
